This review is from: Chevy/Oldsmobile/Pontiac Replacement Headlight Assembly – Passenger Side It’s hard to find a superior price on headlight assemblies for any vehicle. So for the money, you can hardly go wrong. As you know, the Venture/Silhouette/Montana headlight design is crap. Why GM would use a 9004 bulb into the 2000′s is a mystery, as it is the worst of all the replaceable bulbs with stupid radial filaments and low output. While this assembly will not leave you stabbing light out miles into the dark, they will show you what the lighting was supposed to be back when the car was new. So you go from terrible to marginal, which is a huge improvement. Put in some relays and heavy wire and you are up to a level where night driving is actually safe. You can even get above average light out of these with Hella 80/100W bulbs (technically not legal), but only if you have done the relays and wiring, and want to replace the bulbs pretty often. The Bad: The mounting brackets are way flimsy, so you could get some headlight shake. Fortunately, it’s simple to swap the stock brackets onto these capsules. They are much stiffer.
